Redistricting and Anti-Gay Marriage Props Going Down, Parental Notification Competitive in Latest PPIC Poll
The title says it all. I don't see it on the PPIC's page yet, but Steve Harmon at the Contra Costa Times has the numbers.
Prop 8, which would ban gay marriage, is trailing 40-54. Even though Californians are split 47-47 on the actual issue of gay marriage, it turns out writing discrimination into the constitution is something a decent majority frown upon
Prop 11, which would create a redistricting panel that disproportionately represents Republicans, rests at 39 in favor, 36 in opposition, and 25 undecided.
Prop 4, which would require teenagers seek parental approval before seeking an abortion, is at 47 in favor and 44 opposed. While those are disconcerting numbers, similar initiatives have been defeated twice.
