Study finds number of same-sex couples in the US quadrupled since 1990
A new study suggests the number of same-sex couples in the U.S. has quadrupled since 1990. According to its author, increases have been the most dramatic in the Midwest, Mountain and Southern states.
The Williams Institute for Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy at the UCLA School of Law released the report documenting what they refer to as a “demographic explosion” in parts of the country’s most politically and socially conservative regions. They used data collected from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey. See Study finds number of same-sex couples in the US quadrupled since 1990
